From the Principal

Welcome to Dixie Elementary School, where we are educating America's next generation. I am excited to be part of the most dedicated team of teachers and support staff who are committed to excellence in teaching and learning, and have the highest expectations for all students. It is our mission to provide an educational foundation and environment which fosters positive self-esteem and support learning in order to become a productive, responsible, caring member of society.

Dixie Elementary School prides itself in using the most up-to-date curriculum available to students and staff. Our rigorous literacy curriculum, coupled with inquiry based math and science programs, will maximize learning for greater academic success.  We strive daily to create a school environment that enhances self-esteem, increases student achievement, and promotes joy in learning. At Dixie Elementary, we are proud of our students and staff accomplishments.

We work hand-in-hand with our Parent Teacher Association, developing educational partnerships with parents and our community. Our parents share in the success of children through various activities, parent involvement, and by helping with homework. Parents also have many opportunities to join in our celebration of learning as guest readers, classroom guests, homeroom parents, or a volunteer at any of the many events that our school and the PTA hosts.
