Library Media Center

Mission Statement

The mission of the Dixie Library Media Center is to create a community of lifelong learners. Information literacy--the ability to find and use information--is the keystone to lifelong learning. Students will be nurtured in their development as they acquire the skills to be excellent readers and to use information for a productive and fulfilling life.

Resources

The Library Media Center offers an extensive collection of books, magazines, newspapers, online reference sources and CD-ROMs, video recordings, and audio recordings.  The school also participates in the Accelerated Reading Program and has monthly celebrations for the top readers of the month.  These items have been selected to support the school's instructional program.
