Chancey Elementary School

School Profile
Chancey Elementary opened in August of 2002. The school is named for Malcolm B. Chancey, an outstanding local business leader who has been a strong supporter of the Jefferson County Public Schools and was instrumental in promoting business and community involvement in JCPS by establishing the Jefferson County Public Education Foundation. Chancey is designed to accommodate approximately 700 students in a state-of-the-art facility has primary classrooms, intermediate classrooms, art and music rooms, library/media center, technology lab, gymnasium and cafeteria. Chancey will provide a full elementary curriculum as well as the Advance Program in fourth and fifth grades and Advance Program Talent Pool at the primary level. The Childcare Enrichment before- and after-school program will be available. Applications for students living in Chancey's area and new to JCPS will be available at the student's current resides school. Call the Parent Assistance Center at 485-6250 for additional information.
