Some students encounter obstacles and barriers that stand in the way of successful learning. Occasionally, these obstacles may involve such family challenges as incarceration, addiction, unemployment, or other serious factors that negatively affect a student's attendance, learning, and performance.
The Breckinridge-Franklin Elementary Family Resource Center (FRC) assists students with the services they may need and helps parents/guardians acquire resources, training, and education. An African proverb says "It takes a whole village to raise a child." Believers of this proverb, the staff members at the Breckinridge-Franklin FRC offer a compassionate and supportive village for all students.
Visit the JCPS Family Resource and Youth Services Center Web site to learn more about what they offer.
