At Bates elementary our Pre-Kindergarten Program offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum for four-year-old students. Pre-Readiness skills are practiced through a hands-on approach. Weekly thematic units include appropriate experiences in cognitive, communication, social, physical, and emotional development.

Our Program provides a daily balance of activities in five areas:

1. Indoor/Outdoor

2. Quiet/Active

3. Individual/Group

4. Large/Small Groups

5. Structured/Spontaneous activities that lead to the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills
