I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My first masters degree is in Education with an emphasis in English as a Second Language from the University of Louisville. I am pursuing my second masters program in Fine Arts in Writing at Spalding University.

In my deep past I was a full-time classroom teacher for two years for grades 3 and 4. I was a remedial math and reading teacher in three Catholic schools for two years with Sylvan Learning Systems before taking my public school teaching position. I taught English as a Second Language for 6 years at Lincoln Elementary School in Jefferson County, KY, before becoming an eSchool teacher. I've created online curriculum materials for elementary reading for the past two years.

Computers fascinate children because they are highly interactive. Teachers can take advantage of their students' interest in technology.  My reading materials are being used throughout the 87 elementary schools in the district. I try to choose or write articles and stories that students can connect to their own lives.
