I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Bellarmine University. I also hold a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from the University of Louisville. I began my teaching career at T.T. Knight Middle School in Jefferson County, KY. During the three years I spent at that school, I taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Math. I joined the staff of Jefferson County Traditional Middle/High School at its inception 1976. That first year, I taught seventh and eighth grade Math as well as Algebra I. The middle and high school was split the following year and I chose to teach at the middle school level where I remained for ten years teaching eighth grade Math and Algebra I. In 1986, I transferred to Louisville Male High School where I remained until I retired in 2007. While at Male High School, I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, and Basic Programming. I joined the eSchool staff in the summer of 2008. I believe that online learning will continue to grow and be a major part of our educational system. |
