Department of Resource Development

The Jefferson County Public Schools’ (JCPS) Department of Resource Development (485-3290) provides leadership, guidance and support to JCPS teachers, staff, departments, and schools in developing additional competitive financial resources that support student achievement.

Overview of Competitive Grants

The Department of Resource Development was created to coordinate services to local schools, staff, and departments of JCPS for the preparation and submission of high-quality, competitive proposals and applications to external funding sources. The department: a) assists proposal writers; b) shares funding opportunity information on a timely and systematic basis; and c) conducts training in proposal writing to JCPS personnel.

Resource Development offers JCPS schools, departments, and staff assistance in the preparation of proposals and grant applications.

Training in Proposal Writing and Development

Resource Development staff offers training in proposal writing and grant procurement to JCPS schools and staff. These training activities also focus on current funding information and competitive opportunities. Call 485-3290 for additional information.
