Inclement Weather Pay Check Distribution Procedure
(Schools Closed on Pay Days)

JCPS employees will have their pay check deposited to their bank account via direct deposit on pay day when schools are closed due to inclement weather.

Employees may view their pay advices by visiting the Employee Self Service site.   

Employee self service instructions:

Your User Name to log on the site will be your six (6) digit employee id which can be found at the top of your pay stub. Please note the following log on information:

  • Visit the Employee Self Service site at https://employee.jefferson.kyschools.us/ess
  • You can also access this site by logging on to the JCPS Home Page >> Employees >> Quick Clicks>>  Employee Self Service
  • Click the LOG IN link at the top right corner of the site page.
  • Input your User Name (Employee Id Number)
  • The first time you log in to the site, your password will be the last four digits of your social security number.  You will be prompted to change your password and set a password hint.
  • If you are prompted for the system to remember your password, click “NO”!
  • Pay stubs will be available for viewing on pay day Fridays.
  • IMPORTANT:  To log off the system, click the LOG OUT link at the top right corner of the site page.
