Diane L. Porter was appointed by Kentucky Education Commissioner Terry Holliday to the Jefferson County Board of Education (JCBE) on June 2010. She was elected to serve District 1 in November 2010, and she serves as the board’s vice-chair during her first full term. Porter’s public education experience is vast, having served for nearly 40 years as a teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal, principal, and central office administrator. She retired in October 2009 as director of Career/Workforce Education and the district’s School-to-Career program. |

Stephen Imhoff is a graduate of Seneca High (1966), the University of Kentucky (1970), and the University of Tennessee School of Law (1973). He serves as JCBE chairperson. He is in the private practice of law. He is a board member of the Legal Aid Society of Louisville, a past board member and officer of the Crescent Hill Community Council, Clifton Community Council, and United Crescent Hill Ministries. He served on the board of Wittenberg University from 1982-1988. Imhoff is a member of the Third Lutheran Church, is the Kiwanis advisor to the duPont Manual High Key Club, and has volunteered as a public school tutor for more than ten years. |

| Prior to being elected to JCBE, Debbie Wesslund served as president of the Norton Elementary PTA and as an elected parent representative on Noe Middle's School-Based Decision Making (SBDM) Council. She served as board chairperson during 2009 and 2010. She has a background in public policy advocacy having served on the staffs of two U.S. Representatives. Since moving to Louisville, she has worked for KentuckianaWorks, the city's workforce development agency, and currently offers consulting services to organizations in public policy and communications. She serves as president of her neighborhood association and as a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She is married to Paul Wesslund, and has a daughter in the public school system. Debbie Wesslund holds a B.A. degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. | ||

Joseph L. Hardesty has served JCBE since 1990 and as chairperson in 1997 and 1998 and again from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, the Kentucky School Board Association named Joe the Outstanding School Board Member of the year for Kentucky. Joe is an attorney with the law firm of Stites & Harbison, where he specializes in commercial litigation. Previously, he served as senior attorney to BellSouth Corporation. He has also served on the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America, Lincoln Heritage Council. He is a graduate of both the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Louisville School of Law. Joe served in the active Army from 1976 to 1981, and he continued his service in the Army Reserves until 1999. Joe and his wife, Julie, have three children, all of whom attend or are graduates of JCPS. |

Linda Duncan is serving her second term with JCBE. She was appointed to complete a term in May 2006 and was elected to a full term in November 2006. In 2010, she served as vice chairperson of the board and was re-elected. Duncan retired from JCPS in 2004. During her career, she taught 11 years at Fairdale High and 10 years at Southern High before returning to Fairdale High to serve almost 10 years as assistant principal. Her record as a teacher of grades seven through twelve, coach, Key Club advisor, school newspaper sponsor, school administrator, and Kentucky Leadership Academy graduate is evidence of her strong commitment to education and to students. Her service to her church as treasurer, to her neighborhood association as secretary and block watch coordinator, and to various business and community organizations is also evidence of her commitment to the entire community. She is married to Dr. John Duncan, has two children, Seth and Rachel, a son-in-law Marcus, and two grandchildren, Edward and Allison. |

Carol Ann Haddad's advocacy for children began in 1967 when she joined the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Audubon Elementary. She was an active member for seven years and served as PTA president for two years. She was also a PTA member at Camp Taylor Elementary, Noe Middle, and the former Durrett and duPont Manual High Schools. Her interest in students’ education led her to seek a JCBE seat in 1976 and served until 1980. A decade later, Haddad was again elected to the board. She has served as chairperson in 1993, 1994, and 1999 through 2002. Carol and her husband, attorney Bob Haddad, have two children and four grandchildren. |

Larry Hujo is a graduate of Jeffersontown High (class of 1976). He served a four-year apprenticeship through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He has served on the Kentucky Technical Career Assessment Steering Committee, the Kentucky Housing Corporation, and the Housing Trust Fund Advisory Committee. He is a graduate of Leadership Louisville and has served on the boards of the Portland Museum and Metropolitan Housing Coalition. |
